Pricing & Plans

Ferryx connects your terminals, agents, and Git worktrees across local and remote machines.

Our commercial hosted relay network allows connecting remote machines, accessing terminals from web browsers, and coordinating agent workflows without manual port forwarding or VPN configuration.

Detailed Tiers

1. Free Plan

  • Price: $0
  • Connected Machines: Up to 3 registered machines at a time via official managed relay.
  • Audience: Individual developers getting started with remote terminal access across a few workstations or servers.
  • Local Multiplexing: Unlimited local workspaces, worktrees, tabs, and agents on your primary machine.

2. Pro Plan (Coming Soon)

  • Availability: Coming soon. Checkout is not open yet.
  • Planned Price: $8 / month or $80 / year.
  • Connected Machines: Up to 10 active registered machines.
  • Capacity Add-ons: Extra host packs (+5 machines), planned at $2 / month or $20 / year.
  • Audience: Power users with multiple development servers, cloud GPUs, laptops, and home desktop rigs.

3. Team Plan (Coming Soon)

  • Availability: Coming soon. Checkout is not open yet.
  • Planned Launch Price: $12 / seat / month or $120 / seat / year.
  • Planned List Price: $16 / seat / month or $160 / seat / year. Launch price. It moves to the list price once team administration features ship; teams that subscribe at the launch price are told in advance.
  • Minimum Seats: 3 seats.
  • Pooled Machine Capacity: Each seat contributes 10 machines to an organization-wide pool (e.g., a 5-seat team shares 50 connected machines across all members).
  • Team Host Expansion: Additional host packs (+5 machines), planned at $20 / year per pack.
  • Management: Organization owner and admin roles, centralized member invitations, and shared license enforcement.

4. Business and Enterprise

  • Business (waitlist): For organizations that need SSO, audit logs, and agent policy controls. Not priced yet: join the waitlist to become a design partner. Minimum 10 seats.
  • Enterprise (quote): On-premises account and hub servers, SCIM, invoicing, and an SLA. Priced by quote.
  • Features listed here are on the roadmap and not available today. Neither plan is needed to run a self-hosted relay; self-hosted relays stay free on every plan.

Policies & Safeguards

Capacity Limits & Immediate Enrollment Guard

  • No Over-Limit Enrollment: If your enrolled machine count is at or above your plan’s machine limit, enrolling a new machine is blocked immediately (PLAN_LIMIT_REACHED).
  • To add a new machine, unregister an existing idle machine first. Expanding capacity with a paid plan or host packs becomes possible once paid plans open.

7-Day Grace Period and Complete Remote Cutoff

If an existing account enters an overdue or over-capacity state (for example, if seat count decreases or an automated renewal payment fails):

  • A 7-day grace period starts from the first moment the non-compliant state is detected.
  • During these 7 days, warning banners and notifications appear in the client so you have time to update billing or unregister machines.
  • After 7 Days (Remote Cutoff): If the account is still not in good standing after 7 days, all account-based remote connections (including relay connections and direct streams) are fully stopped at the grace deadline.
  • Remote connectivity remains suspended until the subscription is renewed or machine count is brought within plan limits.

Local & LAN Terminal Access is Never Suspended

  • Local terminal multiplexing, direct local PTY processes, native Ghostty rendering, Git worktrees, and direct LAN/SSH connections never lock up or suspend.
  • Only account-brokered remote tunnels and managed relay access are suspended during a billing lapse.

Self-Hosted Relay Deployment

Organizations running their own infrastructure can deploy ferryx-relay in self-hosted mode:

Terminal window
export FERRYX_DEPLOYMENT_MODE="selfhost"
ferryx-relay --port 8787

In self-hosted mode, commercial billing, Lemon Squeezy integration, and machine limits are completely disabled. See the Self-Hosted Relay Operations Guide for step-by-step instructions.

Frequently Asked Questions

How are “connected machines” counted?

A machine is counted when it enrolls with your account and obtains an active machine identity record. You can view, rename, or unregister idle or decommissioned machines at any time from your account settings.

When do seat and host pack quantity changes take effect?

When you add or remove seats or extra host packs through your account settings, the quantity update is submitted to Lemon Squeezy with prorations disabled (disable_prorations: true, invoice_immediately: false). The financial charge for the updated quantity is deferred to your next billing renewal date according to our renewal billing policy. However, your account’s machine limit and seat capacity update immediately once the provider acknowledges the quantity modification or when the corresponding webhook is processed.

What happens if pricing.json values are updated?
